My Unix diary

The Unix Philosophy is the goal of my computer life.
There had been this day in February 2005 when I simply decided to use a
*real* operating system. Okay, actually the website http://gnu.org was
the reason -- it was the initial impulse.
My decision had not always been easy but I never had regrets. Now I
can't imagine my like without a shell anymore. The Unix Philosophy has
convinced me completely. My digital living space became a sweet home
to me.
Since this very day in 2005 I wrote down my computer life for you and
anybody else.

(I used to write the diary in German but switched to English with the
beginning of 2010.)
